Well, maybe not mandatory, but that's what it seemed like by the looks of most of the guys who came by my booth at Urban Craft Uprising! I know that Seattle has always been a contender for beardiest city, but I was convinced that Portland is beardier... now I'm not so sure.
Anyway, I had an amazing time in Seattle. I'll post a photo of my booth later, in case anyone wants to see. It's pretty nerdy. I ended up losing my voice on the second day, so I am hoping that no one thought I was being mean and not chatting with them when they came by my booth... I just sounded like a 92 year old chain smoker, and wasn't super excited about it. Hopefully I'll sound like a normal human being in time for Crafty Wonderland this Sunday!
Thanks to everyone who came by and said "hi!", especially all you awesome beardos that bought my merch :) You're part of the beardy club now!
oh, ps: i was mentioned on The Stranger's blog yesterday, which made me smile.

One of my favorite booths.
Hi from one of the interns (K) We loved your booth and a lot of people mentioned you at the main booth. My kids had a great time trying on beards - thanks! Happy holidays!
I got one of your beards for christmas :) I've been wearing it all day.
